Welcome to the Crawford Elementary School website!  We hope that this site will help you learn more about our wonderful school and staff.

We are excited to share with you that our school has met the Adequate Yearly Progress as defined by the state based on our results on CSAP!  Our teachers and staff are dedicated to making sure our students are prepared for the future by knowing how to read, write, think mathematically and problem solve.  That’s why parents can expect the best from this Pre-K through 5th-grade school, offering Early Childhood Education and full-day kindergarten.

Student achievement is at the heart of our program. To ensure success, we:

  • Teach all students at their individual level and make sure to meet the needs of students, to support our belief in ALL students.
  • Assess reading, writing and math three times each school year to ensure adequate progress. For those who need extra help, an intervention plan is developed and growth is monitored more frequently.
  •  Offer enriched equipment, curriculum, and professional development for Physical Education. During PE, students enjoy all-inclusive and accessible activities regardless of fitness level or ability.
  • A full-time parent liaison is on staff to offer support to help parents access community resources.
  • Provide small groups in reading and math to customize the instruction students get during the day.
  • Our teachers ‘loop’ with their classes, which means that students have the same teacher for K-2 and 3-5.  This allows teachers to get to know students and their specific needs better.
  • We support students in 1st-3rd grades with Read To Achieve small group reading support.
  • Technology is at the heart of our learning.  All classrooms have top of the line technology for students and teachers to use.

You can be a partner in your child’s success! Ensure homework is completed and your child arrives on time every day, attend school activities or volunteer in the classroom. Please consider attending our monthly parent coffees for ways to get involved and ideas to support students.

We hope you enjoy our website.  We are constantly striving to improve, not only this website, but our communication with our families. Please consider joining us at our monthly Parent Coffees to find out more about our school and your community, joining our PTO or making an appointment to meet with the principal or assistant principal and share your thoughts.
